Delmar C. Dyson, 77 of Mellott died at 6:40 pm. Saturday Feb 19, 1992 in AMI Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville after an extended illness. Mr. Dyson retired in 1980. He had owned Dyke's Garage and managed John Deere's parts department both in Mellott. He also owned and operated a farm north of Waynetown for more than 20 years. Born April 18, 1914 in Mellott, he was a graduate of Mellott High School.  He married Cora A. Hightshue of New Augusta July 11, 1948 in Mellott. Surviving are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Lola VanNote of Jacksonville, Fla; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Prudie (Wilson) Dyson; four brothers, Truman; Herschel; Virgil and Roscoe. Visitation was Monday at Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown. Service at the funeral home on Tuesday with Rev. Jim Daniel officiating. Interment at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mellott Fire Department.
